Help Needed

I have a severe panic disorder and I am in the process of obtaining a Psychiatric Service Dog(PSD). This is not a pet but a dog that will be with me 24/7 to help me with every day life. It will be expensive and take a lot of time, to get just the right partner. I know I will need to do fundraisers to get the funds. I created this blog to keep a record, to ask for help from others and to share my experiences.

I am looking into Heeling Allies and applying for a mental health service dog. I have not heard back from them or got the application.

I am also trying to look into a career change dog from other service programs like Guide Dogs which can skip of some of the training and going straight to the disability training.

Finally I am looking for trainers that can help me find the dog and then go through the three stages of training it takes to be a PSD. You can see more information about this in International Association of Assistance Dog Partners and Psychiatric Service Dog Society.

Fundraising is also a major part of this process.  I really am looking for more ideas so please comment if you have an idea or you can email.

Some of the current ideas I am kicking around is making dog pads for crates and hats for people. David is teaching me to crochet.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.
